This is the view from the lounge in our house swap home here in Tauranga….Don’t think it gets much better than having the sea at the bottom of your garden! Had a dip this morning and dried off in the sunshine… ‘Awesome!’ as they would say here…
Last night we went to the midnight service at Holy Trinity. We’d been to the church on previous visits to Tauranga and it was always a privilege to join in their services and worship. They have a great tradition of serving Christmas cake before the midnight service on Christmas Eve which added to the warm welcome!
We were admiring the beautiful sunset as we walked along the estuary last night… discovered later that the stunning colour was due to smoke and dust from the Australian bushfires….
