We thought we’d go and visit Maryborough tomorrow morning – it’s the birthplace of PL Travers – author of Mary Poppins – and is one of the oldest towns in Queensland. It’s only a short drive away, but I thought I’d look up the route and see if there was a possible coffee stop on the way… There were a few places marked on the map, but the one that caught my eye was called – I kid you not – ‘Walliebum’ 🤣 ! Of course I had to know more… so I googled it to check out its cafes. This is what I read… ‘In the 2021 census Walliebum had ‘no people or a very low population’….!

Wow, it’s hot here!
IT’S SO HOT! It gets light well before 5am at this time of year in Queensland, but sunset is early… at 6.40pm today. And yes, it really is hot in the middle of the day….! So we’re trying to get up early for wonderful walks and swimming…. and some more chilling out and al fresco dining early evening. You could definitely get used to it…😊
