The Lake that turned Turquoise
Lake Wakatipu, the largest Lake in New Zealand and a feature of the Queenstown landscape, has changed colour this year. It is now a vivid turquoise colour.
The change has occurred due to a landslip depositing a large amount of ‘glacial flour’ into the water. Will it change back – apparently yes, but not in our lifetime.
