Here in Australia they seem to add a ‘y’ or ‘ie’ to the end of every word! We spotted this ‘Ice Creamery’ along the esplanade… and further along a ‘Burgerie’! We’ve now discovered lots more ‘ie’ or ‘ies’ tagged onto words that made us smile… Do you know / can you guess what these mean:
Sunnies… Pokies… Floaties… Tradies…. Frothies …. Eskies … Tinnies?!
