Carols in the Park

On Sunday we went to North Ryde Christian Church. It was good to join with them in worship and to get to know some of them over the coffee and chat afterwards. The preacher was an ex member of the church, called Michael Cleary, who had moved to Tasmania some years earlier. Michael’s sermon was about giving, so included plenty of Christmas imagery and we learnt about the Fusion Project he and his wife are involved in: a not-for-profit Christian Youth and Community organisation who work nurturing a community and helping youth and disadvantaged people build their lives back together. Inspiring.

We were back there again last night for their ‘Carols in the Park’. It was an eclectic mix of traditional carols led by different musicians and singers, the Christmas message, jingle bells and a visit from Santa Claus! It was a real community event with snacks, drinks and ‘glo’ candles all provided.
