It’s certainly worth a visit, or even a few days stay if you gave the time. If you visit for the day then I recommend a visit to one if the local vineyards for a spot if lunch : Cable Bay is the closest to the ferry terminal and has wonderful views over towards Auckland.
WAIHEKE Island looks great, think we might just fit this in on a free day!
