A Pommie Barbie

We didn’t know we were being ‘very fashionable’ when we offered our guests a certain glass of bubbly last night. We’d found a ‘Sileni’ Sauvignon Blanc from Hawke’s Bay at the local supermarket. It’s  ‘very fashionable,’ we were told, to offer sparkling Sauvignon at the moment.. Tasted good too! It’s recommended by Winestate Magazine and now by the Smiths.

We didn’t impress them quite so much with the barbecue. It was raining in the afternoon so we played safe and cooked everything inside in the oven…. and had to endure some teasing from our kiwi friends about the ‘Pommie Barbie’.

    1. I usually forget about such niceties as caps and aprons – usually I just mess up my shirt … so you can see the menu when you come to do the next wash .. Paul
