No snow or Christmas tree… just some Australian Bush fern and lots of sunshine! Happy Christmas to all friends and family around the world. (I’m sporting Paul’s new Akubra Hat Christmas present!)
KEEPING THE DUCKS AT BAY
In the UK it might have been a scarecrow frightening the birds… but in Australia our house swappers have a croc to keep the ducks from visiting and pooing in their pool…!
Hervey Bay Baptist Church
Our first Sunday we visited Hervey Bay Baptist Church. (HBBC)
We did consider going to an Anglican Church, particularly after reading Judy’s 5 star review: ‘Haven’t been here.I attend Zumba in the hall next door’ However google was a little confused as to whether there was a service this Sunday…
HBBC was a very friendly and welcoming church. Some talented musicians and familiar carols and worship songs…
We’d never been to a church before with a half mile driveway, 10 acres or more of grassland and garden and parking for 200 cars!
A large auditorium, very well set up and barista coffee ( although only percolated when we were there).
Hope to go back for their Christmas morning service.
