We arrived in Wellington late on Saturday and so decided to eat out.
We visited the Grand Century Chinese Restaurant, just around the corner in Tory Street. It was a return visit; we had eaten there on our last trip to Wellington, two years ago.
Grand Century seems to be quite a favourite with the Chinese especially for lunch time ‘Yum Cha’ ( lots of small dishes of various offering from dim sum to chicken feet).
The dishes are enormous and we just ordered some roast duck and choy sum. The duck was sliced, bone and all and had a sweet-sour sauce. The Choy sum had a garlic sauce. Delicious!
With rice and a couple of glasses of Pinot Noir it came to just $63.
